Managed Network Connectivity
Connect critical destinations through an accountable managed network service.
Cloud Gateway designs and operates connectivity between sites, users, data centres, supported public clouds, the internet and eligible HSCN or PSN environments. Underlay, routing, segmentation, resilience and supplier coordination are treated as parts of the same service – with supported telemetry and an explicit support route built around the path.
A collection of connections
is not a network architecture.
Cloud links, WAN circuits, data-centre cross-connects and public-sector network access are often procured separately. Each may meet its own specification while the end-to-end route, failover behaviour, security policy and operational ownership remain unclear. The network works until a change or failure exposes the gaps between suppliers.
Design the path as a service.
Cloud Gateway starts with the endpoints, destinations, application flows, trust boundaries, resilience objectives and dependencies. We then combine the appropriate carrier, cloud and platform capabilities into a supportable design, with routing policy, change control, monitoring and escalation defined before acceptance.
Network connectivity solutions
Business Connect
Cloud
connectivity
Create managed private paths to supported public-cloud environments including Azure, AWS and GCP – connect them to the rest of the estate through an agreed routing and security model.
HSCN
connectivity
Securely connect to the Health & Social Care Network (HSCN). Cloud Gateway is an NHS-accredited Consumer Network Service Provider (CN-SP). Connections are operated alongside internet, cloud and WAN paths.
PSN
connectivity
Public Services Network (PSN) access for public-sector organisations. Connection and service processes, integrated with cloud, internet and partner paths under one routing and security model.
Business Everywhere
Managed WAN
& SD-WAN
Connect multi-site estates using the right mix of Ethernet, broadband, internet, mobile and existing transport. SD-WAN applies centralised routing and path selection according to application need and link condition where included in the design.
Data centre
interconnect
High-speed connectivity between data centres and the rest of the network. Link customer or provider data-centre footprints into the wider service using cross-connects, network-to-network interfaces and agreed capacity patterns.
Remote
network access
Secure network-level transport for users connecting from anywhere. Provide encrypted network-level connectivity for use cases that still require it, with a planned path toward zero trust application-specific access where appropriate.
What Cloud Gateway operates
Design
Topology, route domains, segmentation, resilience, capacity, hand-off points and dependency assumptions.
Delivery
Carrier and partner coordination, configuration, testing, acceptance and phased transition.
Management
Monitoring, incident triage, supplier escalation, route and configuration change, reporting and service review.
Evidence
Current service inventory, path and health indicators, incidents, changes, SLA info and known limitations.
Common questions
about Connect
What is the network layer of a SASE platform?
The network layer of a SASE platform (sometimes called the WAN edge or the connectivity fabric) is the part that handles secure routing and transport between users, sites, cloud environments and the networks they need to reach. In Cloud Gateway, this is the Connect layer, and it includes SD-WAN, WAN, data centre interconnect, public sector network connectivity (HSCN and PSN), cloud connectivity and remote access.
What is SD-WAN, and how does it differ from MPLS?
SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) is a network architecture that uses multiple underlying transport circuits (broadband, fibre, 4G, 5G, MPLS) and intelligently steers traffic across them based on application requirements and link health. MPLS is a single private transport technology with fixed paths and limited cloud awareness. SD-WAN replaces or augments MPLS to give better performance for cloud applications, resilience through multiple paths, and lower cost.
Can I connect AWS, Azure and Google Cloud to the same network?
Yes. Cloud Gateway’s Business Connect: Cloud product delivers managed private connectivity to AWS (via Direct Connect), Microsoft Azure (via ExpressRoute) and Google Cloud (via Cloud Interconnect), all on the same managed fabric. Cloud connectivity can be combined with HSCN, PSN, SD-WAN and other Connect capabilities under one operating model.
Is Cloud Gateway an HSCN provider?
Yes. Cloud Gateway is an accredited HSCN Consumer Network Service Provider (CN-SP) and a PSN-approved supplier, providing compliant connectivity to the Health and Social Care Network and the Public Services Network for NHS organisations, central and local government, and the technology providers delivering into them.
Beyond connectivity
Apply firewall, internet-access or private-application policy to the relevant traffic paths we have configured for youe estate.
Use approved service and path telemetry to understand health, degradation and the context around incidents and changes.
Turns operating data into evidence. Review service delivery with clearer records of availability, change and operational responsibility.
Design the network around the service, not the supplier catalogue.
Bring us the current topology, critical flows, contract constraints and failure modes. We will identify a practical transition pattern and the dependencies that must be controlled.
