G-Cloud 12 marks the first time that Cloud Gateway has been accepted into the ‘Cloud Support’ category. This further expands Cloud Gateway offerings to include consultancy and professional services in cloud.
This year, applications to G-Cloud 12 were subjected to an unexpected delay, as businesses and the public sector focussed their collective efforts on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, G-Cloud 11 listings were extended for a number of months until industry was able to refocus on the procurement framework.
In another first, G-Cloud 12 marks the first time that Cloud Gateway has been accepted into the ‘Cloud Support’ category. This further expands Cloud Gateway offerings to include consultancy and professional services in cloud, security and networking disciplines.
In recent weeks, GDS have released additional information about the Future Networks For Government (FN4G) program, focussed on migrating PSN hosted services onto cloud-based infrastructure. This directive is expected to spark a renewed effort by the public sector to embark on the difficult transition from PSN to cloud. The G-Cloud framework will play a vital role in this, providing pre-approved solutions and professional services for organisations planning to make the switch.
"We are thrilled to report that PRISM has been approved for the G-Cloud 12 framework, and is now complemented by our suite of consultancy and professional services under the ‘Cloud Support’ category. Our platform is PSN accredited and NCSC compliant, giving public sector organisations a foundation from which to build their cloud-first ecosystem. We are very happy to offer these solutions through G-Cloud once again."
