Head of Product Engineering
Ben is Head of Product Engineering at Cloud Gateway. With a strong background in networking and security, starting out in support and moving into delivery, consultancy and finally solution design roles, he brings deep technical experience to the team. Ben has worked across a diverse range of industries, from military and aviation to banking and insurance. His role involves leading the product engineering team in designing and implementing productised solutions, perfectly crafted to solve customer problems while ensuring compliance and security frameworks are maintained.
Before joining Cloud Gateway, Ben worked as a Network Consultant at BestPath, and held network and infrastructure roles at Barclays and Westpac Institutional Bank. Earlier in his career, he spent several years at Wanstor, progressing from NOC Consultant through to Senior Network Engineer, alongside a contract role as a Network Engineer at CIBC Capital Markets.
Ben began his career in the Royal Air Force, where he served for seven years as a Network Engineer on the A400M Project Team at RAF Brize Norton. This military foundation gave him a disciplined, security-focused approach to networking that continues to underpin his work today.
